Don't need to rent Props right now? How about making some money? Put your stuff to work for you. Perhaps you're someone with useful things sitting around your home or shop just taking up space and collecting dust. You can post your items here and let them make money for you, but you still get to use them whenever you want! Pictures of your items are not required but they do aid in the rental of them.  So, we recommend very accurate and detailed descriptions of any item submitted without a photo to represent it.

Hello and welcome to the new www.PropCity.com,

My name is Jim Bay, owner and operator of PropCity.com.  Prop City has been in business since 1997. Its' mother ship, One-Eyed Jacks, opened thirteen years ago and began selling antiques and renting props, both locally and nationally.  Prop City has supplied necessary props for numerous films, television shows, commercials, conventions, theatrical productions, and private parties all over the United States.

My concept of a Universal source for prop rentals evolved from my own observations and experiences in the field of theatre arts.

The common difficulty of having to go far afield to find the appropriate props for productions became immediately apparent, and I realized that, through the accessibility of the Internet, the whole country and beyond could become a huge repository for props.  This great convenience in time and energy savings would be most valuable, if people could acquire the needed items right in their own 'neighborhood' as it were.  PropCity.com has become more than just another local site for its own props but a prop 'hub' for virtually anything that can be rented anywhere.

This site also creates the opportunity for people located anywhere in the world to get in on the action and put their own special items on the rental market, as well as renting anything from anywhere. The renter could then find a crown or even a corvette right where they live or at least a lot closer than just L.A. or New York!
